Complex paper processes, a 7-kilometer wide old file inventory with documents that are more than 100 years old, 60,000 incoming invoices per year and more than 4,000 QM documents were the starting point for the introduction of a central document management system in 2014. For the implementation in the medical field, a uniform file plan for all hospitals was initially defined. The documentation is largely paperless in the hospital information system (HIS) via mobile visit. Documents from the HIS are archived in an audit-proof manner and the remaining paper files are digitized after release of the patient. The processing of inquiries is also documented in NEXUS / ECM. Resident records are kept paperless in the home management system and immediately filed audit-proof.
