The sales increase in the Healthcare Software Division was 23% and amounted
to KEUR 12,853 following KEUR 10,450 in the previous year. The result
before taxes improved by 25% to KEUR 1,407 (Q1-2011: KEUR 1,126) in
comparison to the previous year, and the result after taxes increased to
KEUR 1,413 following KEUR 1,074 in the previous year (+31.6%). The EBITDA
increased by approx. 15.3% to KEUR 2,767 (Q1-2011: KEUR 2,400) during the
reporting period.

The cash flow from current business operations was approx. 58% higher than
the previous year at KEUR 6,353 (Q1-2011: KEUR 4,028). Business in other
countries increased by 51.4% to 6,952 in the first quarter 2012 (Q1-2011:
4,593).

NEXUS AG has a healthy balance sheet with approx. EUR 59.3 million equity
capital and - for financing its future growth - sufficient cash reserves.
Cash reserves increased by approx. EUR 5.2 million to EUR 27.3 million
compared to the end of the business year (31 December 2011: EUR 22.1
million).


NEXUS AG - the eHealth-Specialist - develops and sells IT solutions for
health care systems. These solutions make it possible for hospitals,
rehabilitation and social institutions to convert to digital patient
information. NEXUS also supports integrated healthcare, which enables data
exchange between primary care physicians, hospitals and rehabilitation
clinics. More than 480 staff members in the NEXUS Group develop software
and IT solutions for health care, with which approximately 135,000 users in
23 countries work.
