Hirslanden AG: Implementation of NEXUS / RISNG at all radiological facilities continuesThe Hirslanden Group has decided on NEXUS / RISNG as a strategic product for all radiological facilities across the Group. Centralization and digitalization were key factors in this decision. The Group wanted an efficient way to map all processes from radiology and nuclear medicine in digital form, as well as one central software structure for all locations.
The “Klinik im Park,” which has three sites in Zurich, was changed over to the new system in 2017. During the course of this pilot project, comprehensive software enhancements were made over the past two years and NEXUS provided close support during implementation of the internal “HIT” IT strategy. Following the successful conclusion of the IT transformation process, the next facility was switched over to NEXUS / RISNG in 2019.
”Hirslanden Klinik is one of the largest and most complex facilities within the Group. We are therefore particularly proud of the successful productive roll-out in radiology and nuclear medicine in April, which was made possible by the excellent collaboration between the project teams at Hirslanden and NEXUS,” explained Dennis Klein, Head of Radiology at NEXUS.
The new software solution integrates SAP patient and case management, as well as the existing Synedra PACS, and provides an optimal basis for the centralization of all radiological processes, such as central patient management, material management, referral management, billing, and order communication.
The key added value of the newly implemented NEXUS / RISNG at a glance:
Stefan Renz, Hirslanden AG: “We believe it is important to offer patients an exceptional level of quality. This includes the use of state-of-the-art technology. Using the new, centralized RIS system removes the need for a large number of interfaces and paper-based processes. Appointment management is simplified significantly and patient data can be accessed at the right workstation at any time. This makes our work much more efficient.”
Following this successful go-live, the rollout to a further 14 locations will continue in autumn this year with implementation at the St. Gallen site (Stephanshorn).
