NEXUS strengthens its commitment in telemedicine and picture management

Telemedical applications are increasingly in demand in Germany and in many European countries. The lack of doctors, the need for second opinions and cost optimization are the main reasons for the appeal of telemedicine.

With the acquisition of 51% of the shares of Chili GmbH, Dossheim, NEXUS AG is further expanding its commitment to telemedicine and picture archiving systems (PACS) and has won a multi-award-winning innovation leader for software solutions for image processing areas, telemedicine and interdisciplinary communication.

The specific know-how of CHILI GmbH enables the NEXUS Group to provide its customers with fully integrated solutions for picture-based diagnosis and the establishment of telemedical processes. In addition to the integration of the Chili PACS, the collaboration will focus on the joint expansion of teleradiology, telemedicine and Internet-based networks for telecooperation.

Dr. Ingo Behrendt: "Telemedicine is a growing market segment throughout Europe, in which CHILI GmbH plays an outstanding role. We are pleased that we are now able to provide our customers with fully integrated Chili technology."

Chili GmbH will continue to operate as an independent company within the NEXUS Group and will actively market its products outside the NEXUS product world. The company founders Dr. Uwe Engelmann and Mr. André Schröter will continue their successful activities for the company and consequently contribute their experience to the NEXUS Group.

Dr. Uwe Engelmann: "Within the NEXUS Group, we can optimally contribute our many years of know-how and take advantage of synergy potential in product development and in European-wide distribution. As a result, we will provide our existing CHILI customers and joint NEXUS customers with powerful and future-oriented solutions for digital radiology and telemedicine in a strong network."
